Tranquil Tiles Crochet Shawl Pattern

This easy motif shawl incorporates a variety of techniques in a symphony of texture, composition and practicality. Make it in one color, or change colors within the rounds of each motif, to add an explosion of color. A shawl makes a great gift because it is a symbol of comfort for a friend in need or a stranger who has yet to become a friend.

What you will need:

• 765 yds (700m) #4 worsted weight yarn
• K/10.5 (6.5mm) crochet hook
• scissors
• yarn needle

Shown in:

Hobbi Yarns MegaBall Aran; 100% premium acrylic, #4 worsted weight yarn; 765 yds (700m) per 14.1 oz (400g); color cornflower, 1 ball.

Gauge: 

Each motif is 10 in (25.4cm) square after blocking.

Finished Size:

76 in (193cm) wide x 38 in (96cm) tall.

Stitch Guide: 

Chain (ch), slip stitch (slst), double crochet (dc), single crochet (sc), 2 double crochet cluster (2dc-cl), 3 double crochet cluster (3dc-cl), half double crochet (hdc), and treble crochet (tr).
