Skye Knit Wrap Shawl Pattern

The Skye Knit Wrap Shawl Pattern features the simplest of lace patterns, feather and fan, with a twist. Alternating rows of elongated, twisted drop stitches accentuates the beautiful thick and thin texture of the yarn and the rippling waves of the stitch pattern, too.

What you will need to knit the Skye Wrap Shawl Pattern:

• 420 yds #5 bulky weight yarn or 140 yds ea of 3 colors: color A, B, C
• US 10 (6mm) knitting needles
• Yarn needle
• Scissors

Knit Picks Billow Yarn; #5 bulky weight 100% Pima cotton; 120 yds per 100g hank; colors Tempest (A), Eggplant (B) and Swell (C).

Gauge: 

14 stitches & 12 rows = 4in (10 cm) in pattern, after blocking.

Finished Size:

16in (41 cm) wide x 66in (168 cm) long

Stitch Guide: 

Cast on (CO), bind off (BO), yarn over (yo), knit (k) and purl (p).

Elongated Drop Stitch: Insert needle in next st, yo both needles 2 times, yo right needle once, pull loop through and place new stitch on right needle, dropping the extra loops.

Pattern notes: 

Weave in loose ends as work progresses

Turn work at the end of each row.
