What you will need:
- 436 yds (399m) #4 worsted weight yarn
- H/8 (5mm) crochet hook
- yarn needle
- 2 bamboo handles
- scissors
Shown in:
Knit Picks Brava Worsted; 100% acrylic, #4 worsted weight yarn; 218 yds (200m) per 3.5 oz (100g) ball; shown in Laguna Stripe 2 balls.
Gauge:
Each square motif is 5 in (12.7cm) square after blocking. However, gauge is not critical for this project.
Finished Size:
13 in (33cm) wide x 17 in (43.2cm) tall, with 5 in (12.7cm) x 10 in (25.4cm) base.
Stitch Guide:
Chain (ch), slip stitch (slst), double crochet (dc), and half double crochet (hdc).
Foundation oval (fo): Ch3, dc in 3rd ch from hook.
Ch1 Join: Replace ch1 with slst to adjacent motif’s ch1 sp.
Ch3 Join: Replace ch3 with (ch1, slst to adjacent motif’s ch3 sp, ch1).
Pattern notes:
- Weave in loose ends as work progresses
- Do not turn work at the end of each round.
