Sable Simple Mesh Crochet Shawl Pattern

The Sable is a super simple mesh crochet shawl pattern that is very easy to memorize as it is only a 1 row repeat! Make it in one statement color or this is a great stash busting pattern, too! This shawl can be made in any weight yarn and in any size. Simply crochet row 1 as wide as you want your shawl and repeat the decreasing pattern until you complete the triangle.

What you will need:

• 920 yds (841m) #2 sport weight
• H/8 (5mm) crochet hook
• scissors
• yarn needle

Shown in:

Hobbii Yarn’s Friends Cotton 8/6; 100% cotton, #2 sport weight yarn; 115 yds (105m) per 1.75oz (50g) ball; shown in Color 09, 8 balls.

Gauge: 

Gauge is not critical for this project, but 1 repeat of mesh = 1.5 in (3.8cm).

Finished Size:

80 in (203cm) wide x 35 in (88cm) long.

Stitch Guide: 

Chain (ch), slip stitch (slst), double crochet (dc), and single crochet.

Pattern notes: 

• Weave in loose ends as work progresses
• Turn work at the end of each row.
