Reina Crochet Hat Pattern by Kristin Omdahl
This is a very easy project – perfect for a beginner. You work the hat flat and seam it together at the end. One of my favorite textures in crochet hats is alternating rows of half double crochet and rows of single crochet, all worked in the back loop only. Both sides are beautiful and textured. I have made this hat many times for gifts. On the smaller sizes, I often add a floral motif as ear flaps for a whimsical, fairy-like effect.
This hat is also featured in “24 Crochet Hats” book by Kristin Omdahl
