Gigi Duster Vest Crochet Pattern

The Gigi Duster Vest Crochet Pattern is an exploration of a stitch pattern even in rows and increases in rounds. The same stitch pattern but in two different construction methodcs. The project begins with a vertical gusset down the center back of joined square motifs. Then each side of the vest is worked lengthwise from center back outward to sides. The fronts are worked from center front to sides. Subtle shaping is worked along the upper right and left front for a soft v-neck. Shown in many gorgeous colors for figure flattering vertical stirpes, but this would be beautiufl in one solid color of yarn, too.

What you will need to make this crochet pattern:

• 1140 (1254, 1379, 1517, 1669) yds or 1042 (1146, 1261, 1387, 1526)m #1 fingering weight yarn
• G/6 (4mm) crochet hook
• scissors
• yarn needle

Shown in:

Hobbii Yarn’s Baby Cotton Organic; 100% Egyptian cotton, #1 fingering weight yarn; 114 yds (105m) per 1.75oz (50g) ball; shown in Color pack 01: colors (A), (B)  7, (C)8, (D)9, (E)10, 2 (3, 3, 3, 3) balls each.

Gauge: 

Each motif is 4.5 in (11.4cm) square after blocking.

Finished Sizes:

36 (42, 48, 52, 60) in or 91(107, 122, 132, 152)cm bust measurement

50 in (127cm) long

Stitch Guide: 

Chain (ch), slip stitch (slst), double crochet (dc), and treble crochet (tr).

Special Stitches:

V stitch (V-st): (dc, ch2, dc) in specified stitch.

Pattern notes: 

Weave in loose ends as work progresses

Turn work at the end of each row.
