Dahlia Crochet Motif Pullover Pattern

The Dahlia Crochet Motif Pullover Pattern is a very adaptable design. This is a crochet project dedicated to the exploration of gauge. You can make this sweater in any weight yarn, and the math has been worked out for 9 sizes, too! You have two unique options for adjusting the gauge for adjusting the gauge to make any size: either match the gauge and make the motifs exactly as written, or continue in the established pattern to grow. Or you can continue in established pattern to grow the motifs larger for the perfect fit. The sample is shown in worsted weight yarn and size 36.

What you will need:

• 1300 yds (2,288.7m) #4 worsted weight yarn
• H/8 (5mm) crochet hook
• scissors
• yarn needle

Note: Because you can use any weight yarn to make any size of this pattern, use the yardage estimate guide below to determine the yardage for your project.

Shown in:

Knit Picks Brava Worsted; 100% acrylic, #4 worsted weight yarn; 218 yds (200m) per 3.5 oz (100g) ball; shown in Orchid Stripe 5 balls, and Fairy Tale Solid, 1 ball.

Gauge:

16 sts / 6 rounds = 4 in (10cm) in stitch pattern, after blocking.

Finished Sizes:

32 (36, 40, 44, 48, 52, 56, 60) in or

81.2 (91.4, 101.6, 111.8, 121.9, 132.1, 142.2, 152.4)cm

Note: Garment size is determined by size of blocked square motifs.

32 in bust: 5.75 in (14.6cm) wide x 5.75 in (14.6cm) tall measuring 8 in (20.3cm)diagonally from corner to corner.

36 in bust: 6.5 in (16.5cm) wide x 6.5 in (16.5cm) tall measuring 9 in (22.5cm) diagonally from corner to corner.

40 in bust: 7.25 in (18.4cm) wide x 7.25 (18.4cm) in tall measuring 10 in (25.4cm) diagonally from corner to corner.

44 in bust: 7.75 in (19.7cm) wide x 7.75 in (19.7cm) tall measuring 11 in (27.9cm) diagonally from corner to corner.

48 in bust: 8.5 in (21.6cm) wide x 8.5 in (21.6cm) tall measuring 12 in (30.4cm) diagonally from corner to corner.

52 in bust: 9.25 in (23.5cm) wide x 9.25 in (23.5cm) tall measuring 13 in (33cm) diagonally from corner to corner.

56 in bust: 10 in (25.4cm) wide x 10 in (25.4cm) tall measuring 14 in (35.6cm) diagonally from corner to corner.

60 in bust: 10.75 in (27.3cm) wide x 10.75 in (27.3cm) tall measuring 15 in (38.1cm) diagonally from corner to corner.

Shown in size 36 in (91.4cm).

Stitch Guide:

Chain (ch), slip stitch (slst), double crochet (dc), double crochet 2 together (dc2tog) and treble crochet (tr).
