Abigail Mommy and Me Crochet Hat Pattern

This beautiful crochet hat pattern includes two crochet hat patterns and they are simple to make and coordinate nicely. Each one is made in a different weight yarn with a different gauge. They make an adorable mommy & me gift set but are great as stand-alone hats, too!

This crochet hat pattern is also featured in “24 Crochet Hats” book by Kristin Omdahl.

What you will need to make this crochet hat pattern:

• 142 yds (130m) #3 dk weight yarn
  or 140 yds (128m) #4 worsted weight yarn
• J/10 (6mm) crochet hook
  or F/5 (3.75mm) crochet hook, or size needed to obtain gauge.
• Yarn needle
• Scissors
• Stitch marker (optional)
• (3) 8mm large hole pearls, shown in color sapphire.

Gauge: 

#3 DK weight: One pattern repeat is 2 in (5 cm) wide x 1 in (2.5 cm) tall

#4 Worsted weight: One pattern repeat is 2.25 in (5.7 cm) wide x 1.5 in (3.8 cm) tall

Note: This pattern as an example of the same pattern producing two different sizes of hats due solely to the different weights of yarn and different hook sizes. See
p. 12- 13 for more information about yarn substitution.
