We have all wandered down the aisles in stores like Joann Fabric and Crafts or Michaels craft stores, admired the rows of pretty colored yarns and thought, “if only I had any idea what to do with it – that would be such fun.
Looking at finished knit and crochet items might be intimidating and make you wonder if this is something you might be able to do. But the truth is, we all started at the beginning. We saw something we loved, and maybe dug around a little – browsing patterns, yarns, crochet hooks, knitting needles, video tutorials, and maybe even giving it a try.
The beauty of crafts is that everything is easy once you know how to do it. In fact, that holds true for pretty much anything in life.

I developed a veracious love of knitting and crocheting while pregnant and living overseas 19 years ago. I didn’t have access to many resources or the internet, but had a passionate desire to learn to make baby items before my son was born. I have since turned my hobby into something much more with the intent to reach out and find people like myself who felt that spark but didn’t really know where to turn for learning. I remember what it was like to want to learn but not know where to start!
That is why I have devoted my time to my site www.kristinomdahl.com . I believe people all learn in different ways, and often it is a combination of techniques that make the best learning experience. I offer knitting and crochet patterns with detailed written instructions, visual charts and schematics, up close photo tutorials and produce video tutorials to supplement the patterns, too. I am always producing new knit and crochet patterns and then supplemental videos on my YouTube channel detailing step by step how to get started on every project. Once you have the hang of the basics, I can also show you just how much you really can accomplish. You will see how adept you can become, and how knitting and crochet can become wonderfully creative outlets, as well as an amazingly affordable way to create one of a kind handmade gifts and your very own customized wardrobe!

These are close up videos of individual stitches that you can easily pause and replay at your own speed until you have them down pat, plus right hand and left hand instructions are shown visually in the crochet stitch videos, too. You can narrow down your search by weight or yarn or type of project, like shawl, scarf, bag and so much more.
