Stitch Guide:

Chain (ch), single crochet (sc), chain 3 picot (ch3 picot), treble crochet (tr), 3 treble crochet cluster (3tr-cl) and slip stitch (slst).

Finished Size:

Finished  trim is 2 in (5.1cm) long.

Gauge:

Each pattern repeat is 3 in wide x 2 in long, after blocking.

Instructions:

Note: Depending on the thickness of your fabric, you may prefer to pierce the fabric with an awl before inserting crochet hook into fabric.

Round 1: Join yarn with slst to edge of fabric you wish to embellish, approx. 1/4 in (.64cm) from hem. Ch1, sc in same sp, *ch4, sc approx 1/2 in (1.3cm) from last stitch while maintaining a depth of 1/4 in (0.64cm) from hem. Rep from * around, replace last sc with slst to first sc at beg of round to join.

Note: The stitch pattern requires a multiple of 6 ch4 sps. As you are working your (ch4, sc) approximately 1/2 in (1.3cm) apart, ease in enough to maintain a multiple of 6.

Round 2: Ch1, sc in same sc, *(ch4, sc in next sc)x2, work (ch1, tr)x6 in next sc, ch1, sc in next sc, (ch4, sc in next sc)x2. Rep from * around, on last rep replace last sc with slst to first sc at beg of round to join.

Round 3: Ch1, sc in same sc, *ch4, sc in next sc, skip next sc, (ch2, tr in next tr)x2, (ch2, tr)x2 in ea of next 2 trs, (ch2, tr in next tr)x2, ch2, skip next sc, sc in next sc, ch4, sc in next sc. Rep from * around, except on last rep replace last sc with slst to first sc at beg of round to join.

Round 4: Ch1, (sc, ch3, sc) in same sc, *ch3, skip next sc, 3tr-cl in next tr, ch3, sc in 3rd ch from hook (ch3 picot made), (ch3, 3tr-cl in next tr, ch3 picot)x7, ch3, skip next sc, (sc, ch3, sc) in next sc. Rep from * around, except on last rep replace last (sc, ch3, sc) with slst to first sc at beg of round to join. Fasten off.
