What you will need:
- 30 yds (27m) #2 sport weight yarn
- E/4 (3.5mm) crochet hook
- 2 19mm flat fishhook earwire findings
- 2 4mm jump rings
- 2 pairs of pliers
- Yarn needle
- Scissors
- Equal parts Elmers glue and water
Gauge:
Each motif is 3 in (7.6cm) diameter across.
Finished Size:
3in (7.6 cm) diameter across floral motif
Stitch Guide:
Chain (ch), slip stitch (slst), double crochet (dc), chain 3 picot (ch3 picot) and 3 treble crochet together (tr3tog).
Pattern notes:
- Weave in loose ends as work progresses
- Join with a slip stitch as indicated unless otherwise indicated
- Do not turn work at the end of each round.
Instructions:
Ch10, slst to 10th ch from hook to form ring.
Round 1: Ch3 (counts as dc), 23 dc in ring, slst to top of ch3 at beg of round to join. — 24 dcs
Round 2: Ch3, tr3tog over next 3 dcs, ch3 picot, ch3, slst in same st last worked into, *slst into next dc, ch3, tr3tog in same st last worked into and next 2 dcs, ch3 picot, ch3, slst in same st last worked into. Rep from * around, ch7, slst to first st at beg of round to join. — 8 petals, 1 ch7 sp
Assembly:
Open jump ring with pliers. Insert ch3 sp of earring and loop of earring finding into ring. With both sets of pliers, close ring.
Note: Join earring finding with pliers to top center of earring in ch3 sp. If you want the earring facing forward, join directly to finding. If you want earring facing sideways, join jump ring to top center of earring first, then join earring finding to jump ring.
Finishing:
Weave in loose ends. Soak earring in solution of half glue and half water until saturated. Squeeze out excess liquid. Lay flat to dry.
