Be So Baby Yarn; 100% milk (casein) fiber; 142 yds (130m) per 1.75oz (50g); shown in colors A Platinum, B Splash, C Orchid and D Turquoise, 1 ball each.
Gauge:
16 sts / 20 rounds = 4 in (10cm) in single crochet.
Finished Size:
Small: 3 in wide (7.6cm) x 3.5 in (8.9cm) tall
Medium: 4 in (10cm) tall x 3 in (7.6cm) wide
Large: 5.5 in (14cm) tall x 4 in (10cm) wide

Notes:
1. Instructions are written for size small with any modifications for medium and large written in parentheses: small (medium, large).
2. Each round is worked in a spiral without joining.
Lovey babies are worked from the top down, beginning at the top of the head and ending at the base of the torso.
3. On size small, color A is Turquoise, color B is Orchid. On size medium, color A is Orchid, color B is Platinum. On size large, color A is Platinum, color B is Splash.
All sizes:
Crown:
With color A, ch5, slst to first ch to form ring
Round 1: Ch1, 6sc in ring. Do not join. Mark end of round with a stitch marker.
Round 2: 2sc in ea st around. — 12 sts
Round 3: *2sc in first st, 1sc in next st. Rep from * around. — 18 sts
Round 4: *2sc in first st, 1sc in ea of next 2 sts. Rep from * around. — 24 sts
Round 5: *2sc in first st, 1sc in ea of next 3 sts. Rep from * around. — 30 sts
Medium and Large Only:
Round 6: *2sc in first st, 1sc in ea of next 4 sts. Rep from * around. — 36 sts
Large Only:
Round 7: *2sc in first st, 1sc in ea of next 5 sts. Rep from * around. — 42 sts

Round 3: *Sc2tog, 1sc in ea of next 1 (2, 3) sts. Rep from * around. — 12 (18, 24) sts
Fasten off, leaving long enough tail for sewing bottom body seam.
Legs (make 2):
Round 1: Ch2, 8sc in 2nd ch from hook. Do not join. — 8 sts
Round 2: Sc in ea st around. — 8 sts
Rounds 3 – 9: Rep round 2. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing leg to body.
Arms (make 2):
Round 1: Ch2, 6sc in 2nd ch from hook. Do not join. — 6 sts
Round 2: Sc in ea st around. — 6 sts
Rounds 3 – 6: Rep round 2. Fasten off, leaving long tail for sewing arm to body.
Ears (make 2):
Round 1: Ch2, 4sc in 2nd ch from hook. Do not join. — 4 sts
Round 2: Sc in ea st around. — 4 sts
Round 3: 2sc in ea st around. — 8 sts
Round 4: Sc in ea st around. — 8 sts
Rounds 5 – 9: Rep round 4. Fasten off, leaving long tail for sewing ear to body
Assembly:
Stuff body with polyfill. Sew lower body seam together. Attach ears, arms and legs per photo.
Eyes (make 2):
With yarn needle and 18 in (45.7cm) of contrast yarn, insert needle into and back out of the work at the desired eye location, hold the yarn down where it emerges with the left thumb and encircle it 8 times with the needle. Hold the wraps as you slide the needle through them, insert needle back into work to tighten. Pull the needle back through to the front to secure. Weave into body to hide yarn and cut excess.
Smile:
Usng same yarn used for eyes, sew a curved line per photos.
Finishing:
Weave in loose ends. Hand wash, block to finished measurements and allow to dry.
