This is an easy to memorize stitch pattern that is crocheted from corner to corner, working an increase section until desired width is achieved, then working a decrease section to the opposite corner. A simple double crochet border frames this delicate floral blanket beautifully.

What you will need:

• 918 yds (1004m) #4 worsted weight yarn
• J/10 (6mm) crochet hook
• Yarn needle
• Stitch markers

2 Double Crochet Cluster (2dc-cl): (Yo, insert hook in indicated st, yo and pull up a loop, yo and draw through 2 loops on hook)x2, yo and draw through all 3 loops on hook.

Round 1: Slst into marked ch7 sp on row 49, ch3 (counts as dc), work 2dc, ch3, 3dc in same space. Work 5dc in ea row-end st across to next marked row-end (corner). Work (3dc, ch3, 3dc) in ea marked row-end, and work 5dc in ea row-end around, slst to top of ch3 at beg of round to join. — 4 ch3 corners

Round 2: Ch3 (counts as dc), work 1dc in ea dc and (3dc, ch3, 3dc) in ea ch3 sp around. Slst to top of ch3 at beg of round to join.

Round 3: Rep round 2. Fasten off.

Finishing:

Weave in loose ends. Hand wash, block to finished measurements and allow to dry.
