More and more I am seeing in the stores and magazines knit and crochet wear and not just winter wear either. In places like Florida and Arizona and other warmer climate states in the stores right now are light weight crochet and knit cover ups as well as dresses.
Some are masterfully crafted artisan pieces and others are inexpensive knock offs. In both cases it is really lovely to see it becoming more of a fashion trend here in 2021. I have also noticed though that some of the color choices for this year seem a little odd. Puce, lima bean, browns, and muted blues seem to be in. While these colors can be nice not all of us can pull them off.
That is the beauty of learning to crochet and knit yourself. You free yourself from what’s trendy and can create what looks good on you and what you resonate with and love.
This is one of my favorite patterns. The Giselle Tunic Top. You crochet lovers out there can see that this is a stylish fun to work on project.
This is a simple top that is worked in separate pieces with lots of ways to customize for a perfect fit.
The pattern is written for 5 sizes and comes with written instructions, charts and there is a supplemental 4-part video series too help you along, too.
Your color choices are only limited by your own imagination. Create it in a solid, a gradient, or several colors!
It can be worn as a tunic top or made into a dress, worn over a cute slip, a tube dress, tank top and jeans, it really is a very versatile wardrobe addition.
