Support artists and creators for free with these tips: Creators and Artists like me work very long and hard hours to bring our creations to the market. The competition is massive and fierce, the advertising costs are high, and the social media algorithms are mysterious and constantly changing. I can speak from personal experience that being an artist and creator for the last 18 years has been some of the best experiences of my life, and also some of the hardest work of my life. I am incredibly grateful for all of my customers. Yet often I am asked if there are ways to help me other than buying my books and knitting and crochet patterns.

Great question! Not only are there easy and free ways for you to help support me, but these tips are ways you can also help your other favorite creators and artists, too! I think I can speak for all creators and artists collectively in saying that we appreciate your kindness, thoughtfulness and support more than you will ever know. xoxo

Share your favorite creators and artists content.

When your favorite Artists and Creators post content, click the share button. Whether it is videos or posts, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, TikTok – or wherever you like to watch or read, please share. If you like it, your friends might like it too! If there is no share button, you can copy the URL of products, videos or posts you love and paste them into your favorite social media or text/email them to friends.

Like your favorite creators and artists post, videos and other content.

Clicking the like button on videos and posts not only shows your support but also alerts the algorithms of the social media website that there is engagement on the page/channel. Plus it is fun to show your love. Like buttons are usually easy to spot – thumbs up or hearts!

I cannot speak for every artist or content creator out there, but I certainly can thank you from the bottom of my heart for any and all support of me!!!

Word of mouth advertising is so important to small businesses! Tagging your friends to get their attention and telling them about products or features they might like is both helpful to the small business AND the friend!

Leave a Comment on your favorite artists and creators social posts or website.

Comments are encouraging, can provide testimonials, and also are great engagement factors for the algorithms. Future customers love to read the comments and opinions of others – testimonials can be powerful!

Tell Your Friends about your favorite content to Support Artists and Creators!

Do you belong to craft groups, either online or in person? If you enjoy what I am doing, perhaps your friends would too. Encouraging them to try one of my patterns (there are LOTS of free ones!), or join us for a live YouTube show, might be a great way to get them interested. We have made so many new friends through word of mouth!

Write a Review to Support artists and creators wherever their products are sold.

Positive reviews are so helpful. Not only do 4 or more stars help with engagement and algorithms, but they are also useful for future customers who read them! Remember the grading system from school when determining the number of stars in your review: 5 stars = A, 4 stars = B, 3 stars = C, 2 stars = D and 1 star = well, we don’t really want to see 1 star.

Have you purchased one of my books on Amazon? Posting a review there would be very helpful!  I know I always read Amazon reviews carefully when I shop. I bet you do, too.  If you have made a purchase, it would help other potential buyers if you shared your thoughts.
