Instructions:

Row 1: With color A, ch5, (dc, ch2)x4 in 5th ch from hook, dc in same ch. — 5 ch2 sps

Row 2: Ch5 (counts as dc, ch2), (dc, ch2, dc) in first ch2 sp, (dc, ch2, dc) in next ch2 sp, (dc, ch2, dc, ch2, dc, ch2, dc) in next ch2 sp, (dc, ch2, dc) in next ch2 sp, (dc, ch2, dc, ch2, dc) in last ch2 sp. — 9 ch2 sps

Note: Each row from 3 to 32 is a repeat of row 2, except you are increasing by 4 ch2 sps (2 ch2 sps on ea side of center). Some crocheters will be able to memorize the pattern after only a few repeated rows. But I want you to feel comfortable trying this pattern, even if you are a beginner. So I have written out ALL the rows, with stitch counts! The edging row begins on row 31.
