- 320 yds (292.6m) #3 dk weight yarn
- 100 yds (91.4m) contrast #3 dk weight yarn
- H/8 (5mm) crochet hook
- yarn needle
- 1/2 in x 18 in wood dowel
- scissors

Gauge is not critical for this project.
Finished Size:
18 in (45.7cm) tall x 18 in (45.7cm) wide.
Stitch Guide:
Chain (ch), slip stitch (slst), double crochet (dc), single crochet (sc), treble crochet (tr) and front post double crochet fpdc).
Pattern notes:
- Weave in loose ends as work progresses
- Turn work at the end of each row.

Instructions:
Leaves Fringe (make 8):
Ch4, slst to 4th ch from hook to form ring.
Round 1: Ch7, dc in ring, (ch3, tr in ring)x2, ch5, tr in ring, ch3, tr in ring, ch3, dc in ring, ch7, slst in ring.
Round 2: (4sc, 3dc) in ch7 sp, fpdc around dc, (3dc in ch3 sp, fpdc around tr)x2, (4dc, ch3 picot, 4dc) in ch5 sp, fpdc around tr, 3dc in ch3 sp, fpdc around tr, 3dc in ch3 sp, fpdc around dc, (3dc, 4sc) in ch7 sp, slst to first sc at beg of round to join. Slst across 5 beginning chains.
Round 3: Ch69, slst to 4th ch from hook to form ring. Ch7, dc in ring, (ch3, tr in ring)x2, ch5, tr in ring, ch3, tr in ring, ch3, dc in ring, ch7, slst in ring.
Round 4: (4sc, 3dc) in ch7 sp, fpdc around dc, (3dc in ch3 sp, fpdc around tr)x2, (4dc, ch3 picot, 4dc) in ch5 sp, fpdc around tr, 3dc in ch3 sp, fpdc around tr, 3dc in ch3 sp, fpdc around dc, (3dc, 4sc) in ch7 sp, slst to first sc at beg of round to join. Slst across 5 beginning chains.
Fasten off.

Hanging Straps (make 2):
Row 1: Ch3, dc in 3rd ch from hook. (Ch3, dc in sp between last 2 sts)x12. Fasten off.
Finishing:
Weave in loose ends. Hand wash, block to finished measurements and allow to dry.
Assembly:
Join leaves fringe to dowel with slip knot. I chose to offset the length of the leaves per fringe for a more varied composition. You can adjust the length of each leaf as you want. Cut 48 pieces of contrast yarn to 40 in lengths. Attach to dowel with slip knots in groups of 3 (see photo for placement). Trim to 18 in (45.7cm) length.
Attach straps to dowel with slip knot on either side of center being careful to remain centered.
