Side Vent Edging:
Note: You will be edging each side of each vent for a total of 4 edging sections.
Row 1: Working across end of rows, join with slst to first end of row, ch1, sc in same end of row, *skip 1 end of rows, 5dc in next end of row, skip 1 end of row, sc in next end of row. Rep from * across.
Row 2: Ch3 (counts as dc), work 2dc in same sc, *skip 2 dcs, sc in next dc, skip 2 dcs, 5dc in next sc. Rep from * across, end last rep with 3dc in last sc.
Row 3: Ch1, sc in same st, *skip 2 sts, 5dc in next sc, skip 2 sts, sc in next dc. Rep from * across. Fasten off.
Sleeves:
Note: Sleeves are worked in the round from the underarm foundation ovals and continuing around the front and back end of rows of the upper body.
Round 1: Join with slst to first foundation oval, ch1, (sc, ch3, sc) in same foundation oval, ch3, skip 1 foundation oval, (sc, ch3, sc) in next foundation oval, *ch3, sc in next ch3 sp. Rep from * around, replace last sc with slst to first sc at beg of round to join.
Round 2: Slst into first ch3 sp, ch1, sc in same sp, *ch3, sc in next ch3 sp. Rep from * around, replace last sc with slst to first st at beg of round to join.
Round 3: Rep round 2.
Round 4: Slst into first ch3 sp, ch3 (counts as dc), 4dc in same sp, *sc in next ch3 sp, 5dc in next ch3 sp. Rep from * around, slst to top of ch3 at beg of round to join.
Round 5: Slst into next dc, ch1, sc in same st. *Ch3, skip 1dc, sc in next dc, ch3, skip 2 dcs, sc in next dc. Rep from * around, except on last repeat replace sc with slst to first sc at beg of round to join.
Rep rounds 2 – 5 until sleeve is 3 in or 7cm shorter than desired length, making sure to end on a round 4.
Sleeve Edging:
Round 1: Slst in next st, ch1, sc in next st, *skip 2 sts, 5dc in next sc, skip 2 sts, sc in next st. Rep from * around, except replace last sc with slst to first st at beg of round to join.
Round 2: Slst in ea of next 2 sts, ch1, sc in next st, *skip 2 sts, 5dc in next sc, skip 2 sts, sc in next st. Rep from * around, except replace last sc with slst to first st at beg of round to join.
Rounds 3 – 5: Rep round 2. Fasten off.
Belt:
Row 1: *Ch3, dc in 3rd ch from hook. Rep from * for desired length, or approximately double waist measurement.
Finishing:
Weave in loose ends. Hand wash, block to finished measurements and allow to dry.
