Fine Berries Knit Floral Beaded Barefoot Sandals FREE Knitting Pattern

Barefoot sandals are so much fun to make and wear. This whimsical, floral design is knit up quickly with
a kit of Kristin Omdahl Yarns Be So Fine and crystal beads.

Materials:
1 Beaded Barefoot Sandal KIT featuring Be So Fine Yarn
C/2 (2.75mm) crochet hook
Yarn needle
Beading needle (included in KIT)
US0 double pointed knitting needles (3)
B/2 (2.25mm) crochet hook (for ties)
yarn needle
#1 Fingering Weight Yarn
Finished size: Flower is approx 2.5” diameter, one size fits all
Instructions:
First petal:
Row 1: Make a slip knot, knit into the front, back and front of loop. — 3 sts
Row 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 (WS): purl across
Row 3 (RS): k1, yo, k1, yo, k1. — 5 sts
Row 5: k2, yo, k1, yo, k2. — 7 sts
Row 7: k3, yo, k1, yo, k3. — 9 sts
Row 9: k4, yo, k1, yo, k4. — 11 sts
Row 11: k1, ssk, knit across to last 3 sts: k2tog, k1. — 9 sts
Row 12: p1, p2tog, purl across to last 3 sts: p2tog, p1. — 7 sts
Row 13: k1, ssk, k1, k2tog, k1. — 5 sts. Break yarn and place partial petal on extra needle (or stitch
holder)
Second – Fifth Petals:
Rep first petal.
Joining Row:
Row 14: with right sides facing, you will be working across all sts on all 5 petals in this row. K4,
k2tog (last st of first petal with first st of second petal), k3, k2tog (last st of second petal with first st of third petal), k3, k2tog (last st of third petal with first st of fourth petal), k3, k2tog (last st of fourth petal with first st of fifth petal), k4. — 21 sts
Row 15: knit across. — 21 sts
Row 16: k3tog across. BO all sts. Fasten off.
Optional beading row: Break yarn row before bind off. Insert 7 beads onto yarn. Slide bead up to
needles before each stitch on last row. BO as described above.
Ankle ties (make 2): join with slst to tip of first petal. Chain for 24 – 36”, depending on length of
straps you desire (sample shown is 36” long). Fasten off.
Toe ring (make 1): join with slst to tip of 3rd petal. Ch20, slst to same spot on petal. Fasten off.
Weave in loose ends. Hand wash, block to finished measurements and let dry.
