Demi Crochet Lace Sleeve Free Pattern by Kristin Omdahl
Inspiration for the Demi Crochet Lace Sleeve Free Pattern
I do a live stream podcast daily on my YouTube Channel called Create Share Inspire Podcast. I started the podcast in December 2017. Some days I film live at the beach, or in my tropical back yard, or in my home studio. I often teach and what is really awesome about a live stream podcast is that YOU can ask me questions LIVE and I can answer you in real time! So many people have enjoyed the podcast since the beginning and many people have developed friendships from our community. If you join the podcast 30 minutes before I go live, there is a pre-chat room to talk with other audience members. Plus, I created a Facebook group for the Create Share Inspire Podcast and people chat there all day and can share photos of their projects they made with my patterns, yarns, or tutorials.
When I knew the 500th episode of the Create Share Inspire Podcast was coming up, I wanted to make a special outfit to mark the occasion. I love to wear these t-shirt material tank top dresses I find on Amazon, and I happened to have a purple one that perfectly matches the color way Passionate Plum of Be So Fine Yarn. So I considered various ways I could embellish or decorate the dress with the yarn. I thought about adding a crochet lace edging to border the lower hem of the skirt, or a lace panel or cowl neck to amplify the neck opening, or make lace sleeves. All were good options and I could have done all three, but I decided to start with sleeves. Scroll below for links to the dress and yarn I used for this free crochet pattern.
It is much prettier to layer vests over a dress when the dress has some sleeves. The crochet lace sleeves will really pop under a denim or cotton vest! Although this dress is machine washable, now that it has handmade lace sleeves, I would prefer to hand wash or wash it on gentle with a laundry bag. Here are my favorite washing supplies.
In this pattern, chart and video tutoriasl, I will teach you step by step how to create these beautiful crochet lace sleeves. Scroll down for the free patterns, or purchase the ad-free PDF pattern download HERE:

Although the inspiration for making the Demi Crochet Lace Sleeves was to celebrate the 500th episode of Create Share Inspire Podcast, I know I will continue to wear this beautiful dress for years to come. Below you can find links for where to find the same dress as well as the Be So Fine Yarn I used to make the Demi Crochet Lace Sleeves. I also included links to my other yarns that would substitute well because they are #1 fingering weight yarns, too.
