Be So Wild Crochet Coffee Mug Cozy FREE Pattern

Materials:

Be So Wild Yarn; 2.5oz per 60 yds; silk, cotton, polyester, kid mohair and sequins; color #5
K/10.5 (6.5mm) Tunisian crochet hook (or regular crochet hook because this strip uses so few stitches
1.5” button
Yarn needle

Finished size: 2” narrower than coffee mug’s circumference

Instructions:

Row 1: Ch7, yo, pick up a loop in 3rd ch from hook, yo, pull through 2 loops, *yo, pick up a loop in next ch, yo, pull through 2 loops. Rep from * across ( you should have 6 loops on your hook. Return: yo, pull through 1 loop on hook. *yo, pull through 2 loops on hook. Rep from * across.

Row 2: Ch2, skip first vertical bar st, *yo, pick up a loop in next vertical bar stitch, yo, pull through 2 loops. Rep from * across (you should have 6 loops on your hook. Return: yo, pull through 1 loop on hook. *yo, pull through 2 loops on hook. Rep from * across.

Rep row 2 until strip is 2” shorter than coffee cup circumference.

Slst across all vertical bar sts on last row.

Buttonhole: Ch13, slst to opposite end of last row.

Fasten off. Weave in loose ends.

Sew button to opposite end of strip.
