How to Make Studded, Tulle Rose Wall Hanging, Easy & Inexpensive DIY Home Decor

A while back, during a knitting marathon while watching one of my favorite guilty pleasure TV shows, I saw an usual presentation of a bouquet of roses delivered in a box. It looked like a very large box of chocolates but inside the roses were shortened to fit the box and tightly placed together. The texture of the flowers was so beautiful and the memory of that vision stayed with me a long time. I wanted to re-create that type of texture for wall art. Tulle is a great choice for making roses because it is easy to use and very forgiving. I researched glues and adhesives for a while and the one suggested below really worked well because of the thick texture and delayed dry time. For added flair and drama, I love the contrast of adding metallic studs to frame the delicate tulle roses. The supplies are inexpensive, the project is easy to do, and the finished project looks like a million bucks. What is not to love?
What you will need:
Canvas, shown in 24″ x 36″
(240) 1/2″ pyramid studs, quantity depends on size of canvas used
Construction adhesive (Power Grab is the brand used in this project)
20 yards of tulle fabric
Scissors
Pliers
Offset spatula (or plastic spoon will work fine)

I always look forward to your new creations and your willingness to not only share them, but your generosity in showing us how to create them will always make me one of your biggest fans! I look forward to trying my hands in making the Studded Tulle Rose hanging and wanted to ask you if you’ve tried it using other colors of fabric and if so, what the results were. I love it in white, but think with my bedroom decor, a blush or rose may be a better color choice. If you wouldn’t mind sharing your thoughts on this, I would be very appreciative. I have only tried it in white.
