#ICYMI (In Case You Missed It) week of January 28, 2018

When I started working in the yarn industry 15 years ago, I was a newly single mom to a toddler, receiving no child support, with a burning desire to provide for my family. Although many things have changed since then, I have never forgotten what it was like being a newbie and trying to get a break with the Big Guys. Some experiences were wonderful, and others…well… not so much.
Over the years, I have received so many requests for permission to use my patterns to sell finished items. I have always given my permission and blessing, but until now I haven’t figured out a way to help promote those budding businesses. Today that changes.
I have started a collaborative group board on Pinterest called Create Share Inspire. I am inviting fellow artists and creators who need exposure for their businesses to join me there as we support one another. Do you sell your handmade creations on Etsy, eBay or a website? Do you have another creative arts business that you would like to share with our community for more exposure? If so, please send me your Pinterest email address and I will invite you to the group. You too can share your listings there.
Don’t have a craft business? That’s ok, too! You can follow the board to see what some of my fellow artist friends are creating and sharing. I think it is going to be inspiring for all of us.

Book #14 production is nearing the finish line! We are in the home stretch of editing. The fourth and final editor has begun working on the final copy of text. I am SO EXCITED to be able to share this with you! I’m hoping to have a release date announced this week! WOW! (Can’t wait to share the title and cover with you!)

I would love to see your creations. Just as much fun as making these myself is the satisfaction I get from seeing my designs come to life and other crochet fans wearing them too. There are now 2 ways you can share what you have done!
- Share yours by joining Create. Share. Inspire on Facebook where you can interact with me as well as many other members who have a love of knitting and crochet just like you! It is a wonderful and safe place to share your photos of finished projects in my knitting or crochet patterns or yarns, and to see what others are making, too.
- I have recently added a wonderful new interactive section to the website which I invite you to take part in, it has been a smashing success and such fun so far. It is the new “Share Your Project” section. You, my creators, can upload images and descriptions of your creations to share with the ever growing community! To upload simply click here.
Additionally, I host a livestreaming podcast weekday on my YouTube Channel called Create Share Inspire Podcast. You can join the audience and even ask me questions LIVE! I often do a show and tell, or quick demo and I always interact with the live audience. It is a lot of fun!
