How to Make Easy Chocolate Truffles FREE Recipe

Handmade gifts are one of my favorite ways to show someone that I care. What is better than a scratch-made, delicious treat adorned with handmade crafts? Sounds like the perfect idea for Valentines Day or anytime you want to say I Love You!

What you will need:

1 set of pastry boxes with 1″ paper cup liners
1 cup heavy cream
1 lb of semi sweet chocolate chips
1 tsp vanilla extract
8oz of melting chocolate for dipping
assorted sprinkles, candies and sugars for decorating

Watch the step by step video or follow along with the line by line instructions.

What to do:

1. heat the heavy cream over medium heat until hot but not boiling.

2. Pour the hot cream over the chocolate chips and slowly stir until melted and smooth.

3. Let melted chocolate cool in fridge for 30 minutes.

4. Scoop out the stiffened chocolate ganache with a tablespoon and roll into a ball in your hands (should be approx. 1″ in diameter).

5. Melt dipping chocolate.

6. Dip ganache balls (truffle centers) into the melted chocolate.

7. Decorate truffles with sprinkles, candies or sugars before the chocolate sets.

8. Assemble your truffles in pastry boxes.

9. Decorate with crochet hearts, flowers or other yarn-y decorations. Don’t forget a personalized note, too!
