Crinkle Lush Knit Lace Scarf Free Pattern
By Kristin Omdahl
This is a one-ball knit lace scarf that offsets garter stitch with a simple lace pattern. The properties of the contrasting stitch patterns makes the fabric twist, scallop and crinkle so beautifully, especially after blocking. This is also a great project for showcasing variegated, hand dyed yarn because the lace and the garter stitch use the yarn differently, too.
What you will need:
500 yards fingering weight yarn
Shown in (1) ball Be So Lush Yarn in hand dyed colorway Serengeti Sunrise
US5 (3.75mm) knitting needles
Yarn needle
#1 Fingering Weight Yarn
Gauge: 4.5 sts / 6 rows
Finished size: 9″ wide x 62″ long, after blocking
Instructions:
CO 40 sts
NOTE: The scarf is worked without the need of the asterisks (*) but they are placed in case you wish to make this wider (for a shawl or other project). In that case, the pattern repeat is 36 plus 4.
