• 650 yds #1 fingering weight yarn
• Size US 5 (3.75mm) circular knitting needle, 36” or longer, or size to obtain correct gauge
• Size F/5 (3.75mm) hook, used in bind-off
• Removable Stitch Markers
• Yarn needle

15 sts and 14 rows = 4” (10cm) after blocking
Note: To measure gauge, work shawl pattern to row 21. Swatch should comfortably block to 6” in length and 7½” across.
Special Stitches
Long Loop: Insert needle in next st, yo both needles twice, yo right needle once, pull loop through and place new st on right needle, dropping extra loops.
Kfbf: Knit into front, then back, then front of next st (2 sts increased).
Instructions
Cast on 15 sts.

Row 12: Knit.
Row 14: K1, slm, * k2, kfb, k1, slm; rep from * to last st, k1. -– 67 sts, 5 sts in each marked section.
Row 16: Knit.
Row 18: K1, slm, * k2, kfbf, k2, slm; rep from * to last st, k1. -– 93 sts, 7 sts in each marked section.
Row 20: Long loop in each st across.

Row 78: K1, slm, * k2tog 3 times, k2, kfb twice, yo, kfbf, yo, kfb twice, k2, k2tog 3 times, slm; rep from * to last st, k1. -– 301 sts, 23 sts in each marked section.
Row 80: Knit.
Row 82: K1, slm, * k2tog 4 times, kfb 3 times, kfbf, kfb 3 times, k2tog 4 times, slm; rep from * to last st. -– 301 sts, 23 sts in each marked section.
Row 84: Knit.
Row 86: K1, slm, * k2tog 4 times, kfb 3 times, yo, kfbf, yo, kfb 3 times, k2tog 4 times, slm; rep from * to last st, k1. -– 327 sts, 25 sts in each marked section.
Row 88: Knit.
Bind off all sts loosely using hook as follows: Insert hook in next 3 sts, yo and draw through all loops on hook, * ch 5, insert hook in next 3 sts, yo and draw through all loops on hook; rep from * to end.
Fasten off.
Finishing
Hand wash. Block to measurements and allow to dry. Weave in loose ends.
