Lucet is an ancient cording tool perfect for knitters, crocheters and all fiber artists. The most comprehensive guide to this ancient tool yet published is by my dear friend and colleague Jennifer Hansen of Stitch Diva Studios. Jennifer and I met over 10 years ago at an industry trade show and have been friends and collaborative colleagues ever since. Over the years we have shared business tips, industry resources and empowered and encouraged each other to flourish in the same industry. How beautiful is that? She is a very special person to me. We also open our homes to each other during hurricane season, since we live on opposite sides of Florida.
Lucet is an ancient Viking cording tool that makes strong and very sturdy cords that you can use in many different ways: drawstrings, lacings, buttons, embellishments, jewelry, rugs and so much more. In this 86 page book, author Jennifer Hansen teaches you 6 fundamental cord types and give you full instructions for 8 fun, easy and useful lucet projects.
I love this technique. It is portable, and you can make anything from functioning tools to decorative jewelry. What is not to love?

I have a lucet I bought at a Renaissance Festival, but have no idea on how to use it. I think my teenage girls would love to do this to make bracelets.
