2-Color Tunisian Double Crochet Wire Cuff Bracelet FREE Pattern

Tunisian wire cuff bracelets are pretty quick to make and make fabulous gifts. They look expensive and elegant – everyone looks great in a wire cuff bracelet!

Materials:
28 gauge wire (shown in two colors: gold (color A) and silver (color B)
C/2 (2.75mm) crochet hook
size 14 steel crochet hook
magnetic clasp

Gauge: 5.5sts/2.5 rows = 1″ in tunisian double crochet

Finished size: 2.25” wide x 7.25” long not including clasp

Instructions:

With color A of wire and with larger hook, Ch 14

Row 1: working from right to left: yo, insert hook in 3rd ch from hook, yo, pull through 2 loops on hook (2 loops rem on hook). *Yo, insert in next ch, yo, pull through 2 loops on hook (3 loops rem on hook). Rep from * across until you have worked a partial stitch in ea ch and have a total of 13 loops on your hook. NOTE: when working in 2 colors, THIS is where you change color. Working from left to right with color B: Yo, pull through 1 loop on hook. **Yo, pull through 2 loops on hook. Rep from ** until you have only 1 loop rem on hook. First row complete.

Row 2: with color B, working from right to left with color B: ch2 (counts as first Tunisian dc), skip first vertical bar, *yo, insert hook in next vertical bar, yo, pull up a loop, yo, pull through 2 loops on hook (2 loops rem on hook). Rep from * across. You should have 13 loops on your hook. NOTE: when working in 2 colors, THIS is where you change color. Working from left to right with color A: Yo, pull through 1 loop on hook. **Yo, pull through 2 loops on hook. Rep from ** until you have only 1 loop rem on hook.

Rows 3 – 17: rep row 2, alternating wire color at the right edge of the work.

Finishing: slst in ea of first 4 sts (working into the vertical bar on the prev row), using smaller hook and clasp, *insert hook into next st and hole on clasp, slst through both to secure together. Rep from * 3 more times. Using larger hook, slst across rem 4 sts along row, turn work 90 degrees and working along side of rows, slst 2 times in ea end of row to corner, turn work 90 degrees, slst in ea of first 4 beg ch at end of bracelet. Using smaller hook and opposite end of clasp, *insert hook into next st and hole on clasp, slst through both to secure together. Rep from * 3 more times. Using larger hook, slst across rem 4chs along edge, turn work 90 degrees and working along side of rows, slst 2 times in ea end of row to corner. Slst to first st at corner, fasten off.

Weave in loose ends.

Using hammer and protecting bracelet with small towel, flatten bracelet (optional). This hardens the metal. Or you can flatten (or harden) with your hands if you prefer.
