How to Make Oven Dried Tomatoes FREE Recipe
by Kristin Omdahl
Dried tomatoes are so easy to make in the oven! They add tons of flavor to any dish, and they are cheaper to make than buy. They are also very healthy for you, as the nutrients become more concentrated. They are full of vitamin C and K, iron and lycopene. They are anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory ingredients that work well with so many different kinds of dishes!
Ingredients:
1 lb cherry or grape tomatoes, sliced in half
2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
2 TBSP extra virgin olive oil
1 tsp italian dried seasonings (rosemary, thyme, basil, parsley, oregano)
Himalayan pink salt
Freshly ground pepper
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 275 degrees
2. Spread sliced tomatoes on a baking sheet
3. Add garlic, olive oil and spices to tomatoes and toss together.
4. Bake in oven for 3 hours. Stir once per hour.
5. Store covered in the fridge until ready to use. Bring to room temperature for fullest flavor.
I love to add them to rice bowls, quinoa bowls, salads, and flat bread pizzas. They are great served with spiced nuts and olives for an appetizer. And, they are delicious as a snack on their own!
