Be So Wild Tunisian Lace Crochet Scarf FREE Pattern

Tunisian double crochet is one of the fastest stitches I know in crochet, and it creates a deceptively simple lace pattern, without even trying to make lace! I have designed so many things with this stitch: afghan, shawl scarf, you name it.
I thought it was perfect for a Be So Wild Yarn project because it would allow me to stretch the yardage on a large hook.

Materials:
1 ball Be So Wild Yarn; super bulky weight yarn; 60 yds per 2.5oz hank
N/13 (9mm) tunisian crochet hook
Yarn needle

Gauge: approx 2sts/1” after blocking, but gauge is not critical

Finished size: 8” wide x 36” long

Instructions:
Row 1: ch17, yo, insert hook in 4th ch from hook, yo, pull through 2 loops, ch1, skip 1 ch. Rep from * 6 more times, yo, insert hook in next ch, yo, pull up a loop, yo, pull through 2 loops.
Return: *yo, pull through 1 loop, yo, pull through 2 loops. Rep from * across.

Row 2: ch3, yo, insert hook in vetical bar in next st, yo, pull through 2 loops, yo, pull through 1 loop. Rep from * across.
Return: *yo, pull through 1 loop, yo, pull through 2 loops. Rep from * across.

Rows 3 – 22: rep row 2.

Last row: slst in ea st and ea ch across.

Fasten off. Wash, block to finished measurements and let dry. Weave in loose ends.
