Drop stitches are a fabulous way to show off the texture of beautiful and uniquely constructed yarns. It is the perfect way to show off the texture of Be So Wild Yarn, a yarn exclusively made in Kristin Omdahl’s studio, combining ribbons, mohair, sequins and more, and wrapping them all together with a silk thread. This pattern is super quick! One of the greatest benefits of drop stitches is that they grow a fabric exponentially! The how-to tutorial video walks you through this incredibly simple process step by step.

Materials:
2 balls Be So Wild Yarn; super bulky weight yarn; 6o yds per 2.5oz
US 10 (6mm) knitting needles
Yarn needle

Gauge: gauge is not critical for this project.

Finished size: 50” wide x 25” long

Instructions:
CO 3 sts
Row 1: kfb, k1, kfb. – 5 sts
Row 2 (and all even numbered rows): k1, purl across to last st:
k1.
Row 3: kfb, k3, kfb. — 7 sts
Row 5: kfb, k5, kfb. — 9 sts
Row 7 – 59: kfb, knit across to last st: kfb. — 63 sts
Row 60: BO 3 sts and fasten off. *Drop 2 sts and unravel back to beginning. BO 4 sts, making sure to allow enough yarn to travel the width of the 2 dropped sts, fasten off. Rep from * across.

Wash, block to finished measurements and let dry. Weave in loose ends.
