Be So Bold Crochet Mobius FREE Pattern

Using an ombre, gradient yarn is a wonderful way to demonstrate the magical construction of a mobius cowl! This yarn only changes color one time, yet the center is bordered on both the top and bottom by the second color! That is because of the figure-8 formation of a twisted mobius cowl. So cool! Kristin uses her clever foundation ovals for the set up row, so the starting chain is eliminated by a prettier and stretchier beginning. Once you establish the super simple pattern, just crochet until you run out of yarn!

Materials:
K/10.5 (6.5mm) crochet hook
1 center pull ball of Be So Bold Yarn; #4 medium worsted weight yarn; color Miami Beach
Yarn needle

Finished size: 12” tall x 36” circumference (after blocking)

Abbreviations: ch (chain); sc (single crochet); dc (double crochet);

Instructions:
Mobius:
Set up round: *Ch3, dc in 3rd ch from hook. Rep from * 29 more times, join in a round making
sure to twist set up round one time.

Round 1: slst into first ch3 sp, ch3 (counts as dc), 2dc in same sp. *3dc in next ch3 sp. Rep
from * 28 more times. Working in underside of same ch3 sps, work 3dc in ea of next 30 ch3
sps, slst to first ch3 sp at beg of round to join. — 60 3dc sections

NOTE: each round will now be worked in a figure 8 configuration, working outward from the
center to the top and bottom as you go.

Round 2: slst into next (center) dc, ch3 (counts as dc), 2dc in same st, *skip 2 sts, 3dc in next
center st. Rep from * around, slst to top of first ch3 at beg of round to join. — 60 3dc sections.
Rounds 3 -7 : rep round 2
