Materials:
Be So Brave Yarn; 100% American Merino Wool; 120 yds (109m) per 2oz (56g) hank; #4 medium (worsted weight yarn); color Picket Fence
L/11 (8mm) crochet hook
Yarn needle
#3 DK Weight Yarn
Gauge: 2 sts/1 row = 1” in pattern
Finished size: 30” circumference x 6” tall
Stitch Abbreviations:
CH chain; SC single crochet; HDC half double crochet; DC double crochet; SLST slip stitch; TBL (through back loop only); RSC (reverse single crochet); YO yarn over; FPDC front post double crochet; BPDC back post double crochet
Special Instructions:
FSC (foundation single crochet): Foundation single crochet (FSC): Ch 2, insert hook in 2nd ch from hook, yarn over hook and draw up a loop (2 loops on hook), yarn over hook, draw yarn through first loop on hook, yarn over hook and draw through 2 loops on hook—1 fsc made. *Insert hook under 2 loops of ch made at base of previous stitch, yarn over hook and draw up a loop (2 loops on hook), yarn over hook and draw through first loop on hook, yarn over hook and draw through 2 loops on hook. Rep from * for length of foundation.
FPDC (front post double crochet): Wrap the yarn around the hook, insert the hook from in front and from right to left around the stem of the appropriate stitch. Complete the dc stitch normally.
BPDC (back post double crochet): Wrap the yarn around the hook, insert the hook from behind and from right to left around the stem of the appropriate stitch. Complete the dc stitch normally.
Instructions:
FSC 57 join as a mobius (twisted)
Round 1: dc in ea st around, slst to top of ch3 at beg of round to join. — 114 sts
Round 2: Ch3 (counts as dc), 1fpdc around ea of next 2 sts, 1bpdc around ea of next 3 sts. *1fpdc around ea of next 3 sts, 1bpdc around ea of next 3 sts. Rep from * around, slst to top of ch3 at beg of round to join. — 114 sts
Round 3: ch3 (counts as dc), 1bpdc around ea of next 2 sts, 1fpdc around ea of next 3 sts. *1bpdc around ea of next 3 sts, 1fpdc around ea of next 3 sts. Rep from * around, slst to top of ch3 at beg of round to join. — 114 sts
Round 4: rep round 2.
Fasten off. Weave in loose ends.
