Beaded Tunisian Crochet Bracelet Pattern by Kristin Omdahl

I LOVE jewelry but I prefer to make my own then buy it in a store. Making jewelry is one of my favorite things to do. I often make jewelry for gifts: they are quick to make, and if you do it right, they look far more expensive than they cost to make!

This particular bracelet was inspired by a flat, fluid diamond cuff I saw on a TV show that was worth a million dollars. I think this combination of crystal AB beads and silver wire is a similar look, but I think this would be FABULOUS in other colors, too. I would love to make this with topaz beads and gold wire next. And of course, bright bold colors would be GORGEOUS as well!

Beaded Tunisian Crochet Wire Cuff Bracelet FREE Pattern

Materials:
(1) set of 28 gauge wire and magnetic clasp
D/3 (3.25mm) crochet hook
size 0.9mm steel crochet hook
68 6mm fire polish beads
Gauge: 5.5 sts/2.5 rows = 1” in tunisian double crochet
Finished size: 2.25” wide x 7.25” long not including clasp

Tunisian Bead Double Crochet (TBDC): yo, insert hook in next vertical bar (or ch), yo, pull up a loop, slide bead up to hook, yo, pull through 2 loops.

Tunisian Double Crochet (TDC): yo, insert hook in next vertical bar, yo, pull up a loop, yo, pull through 2 loops.

 

Instructions:
NOTE: slide all beads onto the wire before beginning the project.
NOTE: if you are familiar with tunisian double crochet, this is exactly what you are doing EXCEPT you are adding beads in the middle of some stitches. On odd numbered rows, beads are added to stitches 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9. On even numbered rows, beads are added to stitches 2, 4, 6, and 8.
Ch 11
Row 1: TDBD in 3rd ch from hook, *TDC in next ch, TBDC in next ch. Rep from * across (you should have 10 loops on hook and 5 beads placed across row). Working from left to right: Yo, pull through 1 loop on hook. **Yo, pull through 2 loops on hook. Rep from ** until you have only 1 loop rem on hook. First row complete. — 5 TBDC, 4 TDC

 

Row 2: Ch2 (skip first vertical bar), TDC, *TDC, TBDC. Rep from * across to last vertical bar: TDC. You should have 10 loops on your hook. Working from left to right: Yo, pull through 1 loop on hook. **Yo, pull through 2 loops on hook. Rep from ** until you have only 1 loop rem on hook. — 5 TDC, 4 TBDC

Rows 3 – 17: rep row 2

 

Finishing: slst in ea of first 5 sts (working into the vertical bar on the prev row), using smaller hook and bar clasp, *insert hook into next st and hole on clasp, slst through both to secure together. Rep from * 2 more times. Using larger hook, slst across rem 3 sts along row, turn work 90 degrees and working along side of rows, slst 2 times in ea end
of row to corner, turn work 90 degrees, slst in ea of first 3 beg ch at end of bracelet. Using smaller hook and opposite end of bar clasp, *insert hook into next st and hole on clasp, slst through both to secure together. Rep from * 2 more times. Using larger hook, slst across rem 3 chs along edge, turn work 90 degrees and working along side of rows,
slst 2 times in ea end of row to corner. Slst to first st at corner, fasten off.
Weave in loose ends.
