New FREE Crochet Pattern: Think Pinky! Crochet Motif Mobius Scarf by Kristin Omdahl

New FREE Crochet Pattern: Think Pinky! Crochet Motif Mobius Scarf by Kristin Omdahl

This is a wonderfully versatile crochet pattern. It features Be So Sporty Yarn, which is 100% bamboo and sport weight. This is a great transition yarn to choose because it is very insulating and will keep you protected from the heat and the cold on fall days when the temperatures are varied. Bamboo also has AMAZING drape so it looks gorgeous either flat, twisted, or double wrapped around your neck. This scarf has a generous size of 60″ circumference x 20″ tall so it can be worn in a number of ways: long and lean, off the shoulders for a wrap, or doubled for a cozy cowl.

There is a lot to be learned in this comprehensive pattern and video, too. Not only do you learn how to make this beautiful offset shell pattern into an increasing square motif, but there are many variations of the join-as-you-go technique included, too: 1-sided join as you go, 2-sided adjacent join-as-you-go, 3-sided join-as-you-go and 2-sided opposite join-as-you-go.

The video has a wealth of information in recognizing how to twist the mobius before joining the motifs as well as recognizing where and when to join in the different techniques for a completely seamless project. Watch the entire video to learn all the techniques used in this beautiful pattern.
