Flower Embossed Fingerless Mitts
These adorable fingerless mitts are quick and easy to make. The flowers are crocheted onto the surface of the fingerless mitts as you go, using this clever construction style. These are a wonderful last-minute gift because they crochet up so quickly.

What you will need:
- 306 yds (280m) #4 worsted weight yarn
- H/8 (5mm) crochet hook
- Yarn needle
- Scissors
Shown in:
Be So Vivid Yarn; 70% cotton / 30% acrylic, #4 worsted weight, self striping yarn; 306 yds (280m) per 3.5 oz (100g) ball; shown in color Thistle Make You Smile, 1 ball.
Gauge:
16 sts / 7 rows = 4 in (10cm) in double crochet, after blocking.
Finished Size:
10 in (25.4cm) long x 8 in (20.3cm) circumference.
Stitch Guide:
Chain (ch), slip stitch (slst), double crochet (dc), single crochet (sc), and foundation single crochet (fsc).
Instructions:
Multiple of 12 + 4
Row 1: Fsc 40 sts
Row 2: Ch3 (counts as first dc), 1dc in ea of next 3 scs, *(ch2, skip 2 dcs, dc in next sc)x3, 1dc in ea of next 3 scs. Rep from * two more times.
Row 3: Ch3 (counts as first dc), 1dc in ea of next 3 dcs, *(ch2, dc in next dc)x2, turn 90 degrees counterclockwise and working along side of post of dc just worked, work (slst, ch2, 3dc, ch2, slst) around post of dc, turn 90 degrees counterclockwise and working in ch2 sp on prev row, work (slst, ch2, 3dc, ch2, slst) in ch2 sp, turn 90 degrees counterclockwise and working in side of post of next dc, work (slst, ch2, 3dc, ch2, slst) around post of dc, turn work 90 degrees counterclockwise and working in ch2 sp on current row, work (slst, ch2, 3dc, ch2, slst) in ch3 sp, ch2, skip next ch2 sp, dc in ea of next 4 dcs. Rows 10 – 12: Rep rows 2 – 4 once more.
Note: Slst after every stitch on row 13 to join to the adjacent stitch on row 1.
Row 13: Ch3 (counts as first dc), slst to adjacent first st on row 1, 1dc in ea of next 3 sts (slst to adjacent st on row 1 after ea st individually), slst across next 8 sts on row 1 (skipping next 8 sts on row 12), 1dc in ea st across (slst to adjacent st on row 1 after ea st individually).
Fasten off.
Finishing:
Weave in loose ends. Hand wash, block to finished measurements and allow to dry.
